About the Axis of Ævil


I suppose you haven't been sufficiently bored by the rest of the site to be reading this. I'm an American expat who married a Finn and moved to Helsinki in January 2003 with no plans of ever moving back as long as Finland continues to welcome me.

Axis of Ævil is a pun, albeit not a very clever one, on the "Axis of Evil" since my nickname online is Ævil. I keep a blog mostly for my own entertainment and for friends/family who read it just so I have a few fans. Feel free to send me an email with comments or questions.

Camera and Photo Kit

I use a variety of equipment. Currently I use a Canon 10D, Leica M6 TTL, LOMO LC-A and a Canon Ixus i. Many of the pictures before July 2003 were taken with a Canon D30 and prior to December 2001 the pictures were taken with a Canon Elan 7e. The Cancun, remontti, and Linnanmäki photo albums, as well as many of the random daily shots, are taken with a Canon Elph. I try to note the camera information where important and I certainly welcome any and all comments or feedback about the photos via the email address on the bottom of the page.
